How-to Do The Indian Stroke

This ancient stroke has long been used by Canada’s First Nations paddlers. It is a very quite stroke because the paddle blade never leaves the water. It also requires little motion to use. These two things make it the ideal stroke for sneaking up on game. It also works well in windy conditions because steering can be done throughout the entire stroke which gives the paddler maximum control. It’s name might be passé, but the stroke is as efficient as ever.
