#Backpackingwithdogs #YukonWild #KillarneyBackcountry
I’ve been getting a few questions about my dog Buck and how he’s doing, as well as with the “Killarney Backcountry Backpacking Trek With Our Baby” and my “Yukon Wild” deep wilderness solo camping adventure series.
In this video, I explain both and mention how my wife Tori just left today to go solo canoeing in Algonquin Park for a five-day wild camping trip. So, she’ll be off-grid for a while.
This past July, I headed up to the Yukon for a solo whitewater canoe expedition down the challenging Hess and Stewart Rivers. On my return, it took me some time to organize and convert all of the footage (and I ran into some time-consuming conversion issues) with all the other things going on around our rural home, shorter family camping trips, and the next thing you know it was Fall and we were heading off on our long-anticipated family backpacking trek on the La Cloche Silhouette Trail that winds through Killarney Provincial Park’s backcountry. I’d only just gotten all my Yukon footage ready right before leaving so, on our return my wife Tori and I began editing both video series at once.
The Yukon series will have more episodes for sure, likely six or more, and the Killarney one likely about four or five. Stay tuned because there’s a great story to tell through both.
Ep. 2 our Killarney Backpacking trek with the baby will go live Monday, Sep 30th and Ep. 2 of Yukon Wild will go live next Wed or Thurs Oct. 3ed.
